The nights have began to draw in and the breeze has began to chill… but we still remain open until after October half term!

Its the spooky season, so head down to Dale and get involved in our Halloween activities, with deals so good you won’t be sure if its a trick or a treat!!! What’s on this October Half term?

Rising Witches - Sunrise Paddle Board Journey - 31st October - 7am-9am - Open to all ages - (witch & wizard costumes compulsory)
Halloween Spectacular Splash - Kids Halloween theme watersports session - 31st October - 2pm-4pm - Ages 6-16 (costumes encouraged)
Wing it! - Discounted Wing-surf lessons - 1st and 2nd November only - 10am-12pm - ages 15 - 25 discounted from £60 to £25!!

Your last opportunity to hit the water this year is here, make the most of the quiet beaches and warm water while its still here! All lessons and hire for paddle boarding, windsurfing, wing-surfing and foiling are still available as normal!

We will be closing the centre doors for the season on the 4th of November 2024. We would like to say a huge to all our staff, volunteers, club members and those all who have visited us and joined the Windswept Community this year, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do without you!

Doors will reopen Easter 2025….. fingers crossed for another sunny and breezy season next year!!!

Ffin a Ffoil

Ffin a Ffoil 2024 what a blast!!! We finished off the busy season in style with our 3rd annual event of Ffin a Ffoil! The weekend weather didn’t hold back… with strong northerly winds giving us perfect conditions for the bay! Water sports enthusiasts and their equipment decorated Dale, as well as trade and demo kit giving the perfect opportunity to try out the latest gear!

The festival featured ½ price tuition on sessions including wing surfing, wing foiling, windsurfing and kids watersports and was a thrilling experience for all attendees! We saw huge success from those who attended, whether they were complete beginners trying something new or intermediates looking to level up their skills with beach clinics!

On the Friday night we hosted our first ever amateur Ocean Film Fest, which was an evening showcasing films made by amateur film makers capturing the beauty and adventure the ocean offers! This night was a huge success with our volunteers serving local ale and hot dogs, all in aid to raise money for a changing spaces unit to be erected in Dale, helping to make the water more inclusive and accessible for all!

Jack Greene ended the action-packed weekend playing some groovy tunes on his guitar and harmonica to the seafront back drop, as The Boat House Café hosted us and put on a fantastic spread of grilled food!
